Thesis/free write blog post
Throughout the movie I have not understood if I should be trusting Chloe to do the right thing or not. I have not been able to tell if she if she has good moral intentions. Situations confuse me like when she helped carry the bomb over or when she tried running the dying child to the hospital. She knew that most likely the child would have died, and taking it away from the mother in her last minute living to try and run to the hospital does not sound like s smart idea.
In the film Inch' Allah by Anais Barbeau Lavalette, the main character Chloe, is torn between two people, Rand and Ava and is torn between their terrorist conflict.
I do not have my book so I was unable to read the passage

lens text and recurring images
There are lots of images and themes in Inch' Allah that are shown throughout the movie that shape the movie into what it is. With showing Chloe face timing her Mother in different circumstances throughout the movie, it shows how the circumstances you are in can really shape how you act towards the loved ones in your life. There are also lots of times where it shows Chloe and the children out in the field(where I don't really understand it is) that shows the conditions they are constantly living in. It confuses me why they keep going out there though, its really dangerous and it looks really run down and like there is nothing to do outside there.
I think that the "Another Voice" blog could compare a lot to the movie. I think it could show a lot about the differences in people and the difficulties with it. Just like how Chloe had to deal with trying to connect her friends together because she was no both sides of the conflict throughout the movie

Presentation blog post
The group I am posting about did the Another Voice blog post. This was about how people have differences and having those differences brings in anger and aggression towards one another. This shows what their views were on that. I would use this blog post to compare to the movie "Inch' Allah" because it shows a different point of view but is also similar enough that you can analyze and compare the two. The Isreali conflict in the movie compares to the article and the group did s good job at noting lots of similar points from the film to the text. This presentation worked really well and I liked how one of the girls (I forgot her name) compared it to her life because she said she was a Jew so she would side with them. They could have used a few more examples, I was a tiny bit lost but overall it was really good. I thought the girl who compared it to her life did s little more presenting then the others but it was overall really similar. I would give this a group a 4.5 on their presentation.

Film blog post 3
I think it was right for Chloe to run Rand's baby to the hospital. The chance that the child could have lived was slim anyways and it would be the best thing ever if she could have saved it. The mother would have been a lot more happier with the outcome of that then having the child die in her arms, it would be traumatizing. People will argue that she would rather have it die in her arms; but, saving a baby's life is worth trying anything, especially if there is low chance of them surviving anyways.

I think that the plucking of the chickens and the honey from the bees are shown to show the conditions of their living in Palestine. This shows that the older Palestinian women were very old fashioned. It shows that they are willing to use what they have to support them and save money. Their money conditions were not good and the town was not safe or nice.

film blog post 1
The prominent colors in the opening scene of Inch'Allah are black and white. They look like they are depressing, its confusing me why there is so much white there. The pigeons are all black and white. I don't know if pigeons are supposed to be black, but it looks odd to see white and black pigeons next to each other. The pigeons look very calm also.

Blog Post 10-- Ad Analysis
This ad challenges the racist stereotypes that are out there in our world. Many people judge one another based on the color of their skin, and by this they are basing it off of the race that they are. I understand this ad from a white person’s point of view. Typically, white people do not get as much hatred and stereotypes than other races do like the Asian races(yellow) and the African African Americans(black). So, with that, I have not been made fun of or had people think down upon me about my race before. From my lens though, I am able to see racism and judging going on by the colors of others skin. But, this ad shows that everyone is the same on the inside. By showing 3 hearts that are all very similar, with the color of the race they are talking about, shows that deep down everyone is the same on the inside and that the color of their skin does not matter. This ad made me confused when seeing it, because it was hard for me to understand the message of it. It has detailed images of the hearts, which may gross some people out, but through looking at it more and more I understood the message. It was just a little confusing at first what the message was, because they didn’t cover all races in my opinion. They didn’t cover Latino’s, Persians and Indians, so it made it harder for me to know it was about race. I had it mistaken for a health ad.
http://abduzeedo.com/awesome-and-controversial-ads-benetton there is a link to the advertisement. it is the big photo with 3 hearts and on the hearts it is labeled white, black and yellow.
