I am a speedy writer; I'll write down everything that comes to my mind. The first draft doesn't always come out that well, but there will be a lot of writing on the paper to pick and choose from.  I know this method at first does't seem like it is the best option because it can come out messy, but i view it as i have more writing to work with.  Sometimes I'll write down things that i came up with on the spot when writing and ended up really liking it and keeping it in my final draft.

I am wanting to write my essay on "Purse" by Sheeman.  After i write my initial rough draft, I will go through the essay again and take out some things that don't transition well, and then things that don't have enough analysis I will fill that in.  I will check grammar and make sure i have good evidence to back up my claims.  At the end of my essay, I will write a hook for the essay that sums it all up.
